The Other End
Golbon is visual artist and DJ (minimal techno/melodic wave/drone) based in Ottawa, Canada.
From Tehran metropolitan where industrial sounds are paramount and traditional Persian music is being played on the radio and by the buskers on the street simultaneously, Golbon pieces together the sounds and forms that she identifies with. She has been a visual artist for the better part of her life before getting involved in the techno and experimental music scene. She is therefore, inevitably most attracted to creating audiovisual installations.
Golbon obtained her first drawing and painting diploma from Tehran Musical School in 1992 before she began to primary school. She has since showcased her art work in various publications and received a number of participant appreciation awards in Iran.
In 2012 obtained a Comic Book Writing certificate from the School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto. In 2013 she published a series of comics for Canadian Bureau of International Education and had 5 solo and group exhibitions.
